I agree 100% and then some. It's a time machine, I beat their search engine to death nearly daily with great toys I remember as a kid.
I even get the old Catalogs from the Model companies just to shop on Ebay with. It's amazing that 30 years later I can browse a model catalog from that era and simply type it into Ebay search and 9 out of 10 times you will find it!! Amazing!!

I am an Ebay addict as well, but I had never thought about using an old model catalog to find kits! What a GREAT idea! (Heads for Ebay and types "catalog" into search dialogue...)

It is truly amazing that 30 years later you can still use those old catalogs to get those exact kits.
I Love the internet and Ebay!!!

Ebay addict here too. The memories and " I didnt know they made one of those!" kits are awesome. My collection has gone from a few leftover kits frommy youth to one room ofmy house and a few closets deicated to models. My most recent buy was a Hurst SC/Rambler, a neat old overlooked musclecar I cant wait to start and never finish!

You can add me to the "addicted to e-bay" list!! One problem i have noticed though, is that ebay has driven up the prices on some rarer kits, and some not so rae kits. However, that wont stop me !!! You just have to know what your doing!!!
I have bought so many kits, (and other stuff) on e-bay, i started selling squished pennies to help pay for my addiction!!
I feel ebay is helping to keep our hobby alive!!!!
If people think plastic modeling is going by the wayside, just look at the thousands of kits on the Bay!!

I've ripped some cellophane from some valuable kits in my time. I buy 'em to build not to collect. If I want a certain kit, I buy it, and it's going to get built, period. I don't give a rat's behind how rare or valauable it is. If it's on my shelf, it's in line for glue!

When I open a sealed $$$ kit I always preserve the cellophane and just cut around the bottom of the box, then carfully tape it to the boxtop.
