I don't remember exactly but it must have been around 1975-76 and I think I was 11-12 or something like that when I built my first car kit. A mid 70's AMT Chevy Nova Hatchback was the first car kit I built, followed by an AMT "Hyper Hut" Ford Econoline van and a Monogram "Bad Man" 55 Chevy, I don't remember in wich order the rest came but the first three is clear in my mind. ;D I loved to build stuff with LEGO when I was a kid and I had built some cheep armour and airplane kits (mostly Airfix) before I discovered car kits, I have been building car and truck models almost exclusively ever since.

For vehicles I am pretty sure it was AMT's 1/25 Diamond Rio rig or maybe a snap tite Mustang Funnycar.

When I was 5 years old in 1993 my mother got me a 57 chevy , 78 TA and a police car . They were all snap tight cars . Then while I was still 5 I got to help build my first glue together wich was a 56 chevy (look at my signature) , I didn`t get to do much of the building on it but I broke the leaf springs , a arms , and rear axle off too many times to count . I must have rebuilt that thing 20 times lol. some other cars I can remember from '93 is two 70s corvets , 80s , bronco , the black #3 car with the 18 wheeler and trailor all being snap tight. I also had a '70s cj7 (mom helped me alot on it) , the big foot, all I got to build of that was the engin , I for get the name of it but I also got to help with my white chevy monster truck . I don`t remember the name of it though , me and my mother started a chevy truck that came with a trailor and racing boat but all that got done was the boat and trailor, I got the wheels and engin built for the truck and everything was painted but we had to move very quickly and many of the parts got lost for the truck (all well it was only a chevy ) . I also remember doing a white mustang race car. The first glue together I remember doing with no help at all is a 65 (it could have been a 66) ford mustang pace car . I built it when I was 7 years old and I still have it on my shelf today but its in need of a junk yard remodeling .

My first kit when i was a kid was the weirdo "leaky boat louie" kit by hawk. My first kit in my adult building stage (after not building for over 30 years) was the AMT 60 Starliner. I was in a wall mart about 2 1/2 yrs ago when I saw the kit on the shelf. The 60 Starliner has always been my favorite car so I couldnt resist buying it. I assembled the kit and it looked awfull! I bought another one and it turned out better, been building ever since!

Mine was a few snap tites, A-10 Warthog, F-14, etc. I don't remember what my first glue together was, but I'm pretty sure it was a Skill Level 3 F-14, And I'm sure I wasn't ready to build that thing considering the cockpit glass was soaked in black paint, I was trying to get the effects of the black tinted window on the boxart...
My first car kit was that Toyota Supra. I coated the car way too many times with paint, you couldn't even see the detail lines anymore
