OK here is most of the tools ect. that I use when making a wrecked car .
You`ll also need some aluminum foil and a mini hot glue glue gun will come in handy more than once but its not needed if you don`t have one.
Now start looking through you`r box of failed models from the past and find the one you wanna make into a junker , This is what I`ll be using in this how to...
I think its a 56 ford , I`ll need to find the box and take a look at it later.
With a small grinding stone on you`r dremel (you might be able to use a drill) start grinding a rust hole .
Don`t make rust holes just any where , try to put them where you realy think they would be on the real car.
Next put a cut off wheel on a dremel ( you could use a hobby knife as well but it will take longer) . Cut off what ever parts you want to be dented with the dremel. Use a peice of aluminum foil larger than the part you want to dent . Use the part that you cut off the car as a mold to shape the aluminum foil.
Now cut away all the extera foil and you now have two of the same part .
I used testors glue and hot glue to mount the fender and door to the body.
I painted the door and fender flat black
Next I wrecked it with a junked 56 chevy
Its a good idea to paint anything you can see through the rust holes with flat black
Paint the rust hole flat black (or the dulled body color) . As soon as you get the paint on there sprinkle some rust dust on it enough to cover the wet paint .
For flat tires just use something hot to melt the rubber or plastic then paint them flat black.
Don`t forget to rust the wheels if you use steel wheels.
Paint every place there is a wrinkle in the metal flat black (or the dulled body color) because this is where the paint would crack and the metal under it will rust. Sprinkle the rust dust on the fresh paint.
This was only a two day build , there is many ways to make it look more real . Now some one hurry up, build one of these and put me to shame !
I`m gonna try to do a demo durby car out of a GTO next .
Thanks for puting up with my bad spelling ;D.
