Being in school, I don't have as much time to devote to modeling as I would like. At a model show I went to last spring, there was a make & take where I built a white '78 Corvette. I recently found the model and I started painting it and adding little details to it. At work this week, I saw the Snaptite Elte series from Revell and very quickly decided on their '07 Shelby GT500 as my next project. Looking back, I have fond childhood memories of assembling these small Snaptite kits, and I think that this sort of stress-free modeling is right up my alley. I'm currently spraying the interor parts in flat black, and I hope to finish assembling & detailing the pan this week. My plan for next week is the chassis pan and engine detail (what little there is), and try my hand at adding a wash to the wheels and the panel lines for the first time. The best part is, the whole car is only four colors! Flat black, silver, red, and aluminum. It dosen't get more stress-free than that!
