I just won this on Ebay. I have never seen or just do not remember this kit at all? I saw that boxart with that back side shot and thought awwwww Man. I think I am going to go Pro Mod, 14-71 huffer with a carbon fiber Vulture Catcher peeking oer the roof, 60 inch wheelie bars, twin chutes and a Top Fuel wing rakes wayy back. Should look absolutely evil.

One thing thats hard about 1/20th is the lack of parts available. I was wondering, would you be able to use any of the parts from MPC 1/20th scale line of Corvettes? There's been some interesting things done in that scale, and there's a few of those Lindberg 1/20ths I'd have love to seen in 1/24th-25th scale too!

Lindy did some wierd stuff all right.
This piece actually looks at home with some top fuel slicks under it. It almost has a 1/24-1/25 look with those big meats.

I just got a MIB "Spirit Of America" MPC vette. 1/20 scale. I built a 1/20 vette when I was a kid so I picked this up for old time's sake. 1/20 is an odd scale and to be honest, I'm glad it never caught on.
I have never seen that Toyota kit before in my life. Is it like the quality of the Lindy 66 Chevelle & '61 Impala? Or is it some crappy old tool they acquired like the Lindy '40 Ford? Man the Lindy '40 Ford is pretty much useless.

WOW great find!! I too never saw that kit. However i did see a few of those in 1:1.
Keep in mind that Tamiya has several kits that are 1/20, I know that most of them are race cars, but i'm sure you may find something of use!!!

I like the 1:1 of that truck so I would be interested in building it. I've had a few in my shop and I have to say, it's no wonder Toyota has gained some market share in the pickup truck area. Nicely built trucks, for sure. Let me know how it builds. Maybe dry fit a few items and let me know? Lindberg can be hit & miss and I now only buy them when I get a good recommendation from someone since I've been burned on a couple of their kits.
