Nope I haven't built this issue either but I have a couple of the older Monogram issues and they are quite good, the contents varys in them though.
The first issue I have and have built is kit #2764 427 Cobra S/C (Blue with white stripes on the box), it doesn't have any bumpers, just some jack brackets instead, one carb intake and air box, a full wind shield with wind wings, a tonneau cover, a roll bar hoop, Shelby aluminum wheels with spinners and the double white stripes are on the decal sheet.
The other issue I have is kit #2798 427 Cobra Street version (red on the box), it has the regular bumpers, a twin carb intake with carbs and air cleaners, full wind shield with wings, no roll bar, an up top and wire wheels with spinners, also has the double white stripes on the decal sheet.
The third version I have is kit #2944 Essex Wire 427 Cobra, it has the same parts as the Cobra S/C except for the full wind shield glass, the frame is there though, a small wind screen is provided for the drivers side only and one black stripe on the decal sheet.
I haven't looked closer at the new Revell issue but I think it might be the same as the old Essex Wire issue with different decals but I could be wrong. I might have to get this issue and have a look.
I don't know if this helped you out in any way.

It was an SMC kit. A 427 Body with a 347 stroker with Webers.

Thanks Forcefan! very helpful, i want to build one that looks something like this one. That shouldn't be a problem if the contents in the new kit is like the previous Essex Wire kit, the wind shield frame are there but no glass, it's easy to fix tho', the wheels are there but a bit smaller than on the pic you showed, the jack brackets and roll bar are also there.
