I do that also overspray the car with either black red or gray primer. also to get a burn out look you can take a spruca (Be careful) light it up under a model and let the model catch the soot.

Dang my bad spelling it was pupposed to be spruce. my next wreck will be a porche 928 that i have evrything but motor and running gear for it was a old ebay parts box buy. ;D
