I like the green.....most guys are afraid to use green, cause for some reason, a lot of contest judges frown on green.
Nice clean build bro....keep it up.

I'm not sure what the reason is exactly.......it may be the way green looks on a contest table.....might be a stigma left over from the 70's when no one could even give a green car away. Greens don't always photograph well, and even judges at times have a hard time telling a dark dark green from a black or dark blue.
I know when I judge, color is the last factor for me to consider, unless you are trying to build a replica Petty car and paint it pink or something.
I have nothing against green personally....hell my own ride is a teal green.
Now....on a side note JT.....I never realized you were a Canuck until just now. We'll have to hook up one day......although I'm living in Virginia at the moment, we pass right by Thorold on our way up to Sudbury to visit my folks. I have another good buddy in Grimsby as well. Maybe this summer we'll get a chance to meet.

I Love it JT! As usual an awesome job. Not a fan of the wheels and the stripes but it looks awesome. And screw the judges! LOL! GREEN ROCKS!

I sanded the molded on ones off, drilled 2 holes, and put straight pins in as the posts.
the connector on the wire is made from electrical solder. flatten it out then cut it to shape.

Great idea for terminals.....I've been using photo-etched ones, but I think yours look every bit as good. Cheaper too

The ZL-1 was built on comission for a fellow in northern VA a couple years ago. It is a combination of a Revell Camaro Pace Car, a Revell Yenko and a Revell Z28. The wheels are from Modelhaus....tires are Satcos....decals from Keith Marks of MOFO Decals....Laquer from Rainbow Products.....photo-etched stuff from DM and MCG.
