Gasoline that is......full of lead and high on octane......inject it, pass it through a blower into a Chrysler Hemi that's stuffed in a small coupe and you got a recipe for speed. This "period correct" example of the Gasser heydays captures the flavor of the breed. Nose up and tail draggin', tinted glass and gold leaf. This is a purely fictional car, but could easily have been right at home with any of the other legends of the class. The body is a 1941 Willys coupe, painted in a basecoat of Red Maple Metallic with a RootBeer Candy over top. That was followed with a few coats of clear pearl then a good dozen coats of wetsanded and rubbed out clear laquer. The car is powered with a 392 Hemi, auto trans and a 9" Ford rear. The trunk deck art was inspired by WWII aircrafts' nose art. I found the graphic of the car-hop and the Cheapskates lettering brought it all together as an ad for a drive-in cafe that sponsors the car. The grille is .010" photo-etched stainless steel, all the fuel and oil lines have been added as well as a complete throttle linkage from the injector through the firewall. Hope y'all like it.....I do....ENJOY!!!!
