With these words forty one years ago, premier sportswriter Max Muhleman best described the feelings of a fourteen year old race fan who had lost his first hero. I was that fourteen year old and here is my tribute to that mountain, Fireball Roberts.

Awesome!! i wish i coulda seen those old races! to bad speed channel doesnt show them anymore?! there was a show " road & track " that was on and they always showed an old stock car race.. but they took it away....
