Dale Earnhardt's 1992 Lumina (WIP)

this is one of the things im working on at the moment. the ressiue of Dale's 1992 lumina. all around this kit is great, nice clean molding on the parts . and its nice not to have to strip those chrome plated parts!!

also i will use yellow goodyears on the tires,.since in Atlanta the last race of 1992 thats when they changed tires.








the red lines point to rollbars that i had to add, since the kit does not include them.




i also drilled out for an aftermarket fuel filler


on this side i added the extra cut out for the jack.




notice the heatshield is wood, Dale always used wood for his heatshield.

I`m not much for nascar but I realy enjoy you`r nascar builds because of all the hard work and detail yoyu put into them. Great job so far !

well today i got the steering wheel and shifter detailed and installed.

i just need to run 2 oil lines, and a couple more wires and the interior should be done.

little update, i got the body painted and decaled, i use dupli-color black and silver.

i just need to let these decals "air out" for a few days then i will spray on a couple coats of clear and then polish this out to a nice smooth shine!!

should be done this week sometime.
