so far, i'm not impressed... this thing is going together like a mediocre resin kit... nothin' fits... of course after i built the chassis, i remembered an article in SA-e about modifiying the frame for the 429 motor...dohhhhh!! the body looks like it was at Bristol last week... still need to finish this wheel/tyre...

Looks good weasel!! I my opinion these kits should have a skill 5 rating because you have to be a very experienced builder to pull one of these off. I have both the Talladega and Cyclone kits and both are very demanding to build.

All it needs is a little TLC.......and a 55 gallon drum of Stock Car Cheat'em Up. Here's what mine looked like after adding a few of my friend Ralph Moody's tricks to it. Did I mention I built it in two days, including the paint and decals?

Guilty as charged. I had to use a different name on some of the boards that I messed up on logging in when they wouldn't let me use my "regular" handle. "The left side is the good side"......not for long with Cale driving and that third turn "Darlington Stripe" to take into consideration. LOL But just to prove it, here's the other side.

That came out INCREDIBLE, especially for a 2 day job.
I Love the addition of "The Man" himself. Looks dead on except fo the shadow. Try knocking the opacity down on the shadow to simulate the transparencey of the cars shadow which casts from the same light source.

Would this be sort of what you mean?

YES PERFECT! The shadows will always be alike in darkness and transparancy from one light source.
