The problem for us here in Sweden is that Castrol Super Clean and Wesley's White Wall Cleaner isn't available here, I have to import these products from USA myself. I were over in California last year and I got me a couple of gallons of CSC and half a gallon of Wesley's and sent it home with some cars in a container. I bought Wesleys at Pep Boys but didn't find any bigger containers than 1 quart bottles so I only bought two of them. I had hoped they were available in 1 gallon juggs or something like that and in that case I would have bought more. I have only tried CSC so far to remove paint and it usually works fast and takes off all the paint, it also removes chrome plating to the bare plastic.

I find that Brake fluid, the regular dot 3 , is the best paint stripper, and it doesnt hurt the plastic, you can use it on clear parts aswell. i speak from experiance lol. best part is its only like 1.99, and you can get it anywhere

I used brake fluid before I tried CSC, it works fine but I think that CSC works better. It's safer for the environment since it's bio degradable and it smells better and last but not least it removes paint faster.

I have to try it then. I cant read about it then not give it a try. I am going to Pep Boys tomorrow and get some. I am restoring an original AMT 3 in 1. I am doing it as a B/Gasser.

I have also read that 91-96% alcohol works as a paint stripper on pre painted models, I haven't tried though. I just ordered a Lindberg '65 Coronet and when I get it home I will try soaking it in alcohol, CSC doesn't work on that kind of paint.
