I'm moving over here with my Chezoom pics as this seems to be the proper forum. Here's some recap photos followed by an update: Early Mock-up Finished interior Here's what I did last night. Drilled out roll-pan for heat sleeves and tailpipes. Exhaust heat sleeves cut from aluminum tubing and bare-metal foiled. Tailpipes also cut from aluminum tubing and polished out to chrome-like shine. Brackets fabricated to hold tailpipes in place and glued in behind roll-pan. Opposite ends of pipes connect directly to mufflers. Should be done today, with luck. If so, I'll get final pics posted tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Excellent detailing.
You gotta LOVE bare metal foil, the only thing that kills me is the rediculous price.
It just went up to $6.50 a sheet from $5.50 a sheet here in NJ.
I know it's something so cheap and someone just figured "Hey lets sell it to modelers and RAPE them"
I wish I knew it's original use, I just know it's dirt cheap!!
Looking good Ron, please post tonight if you can.

Yes, I too was wondering about the garage dio's that are out there?
How's the quality?
Are they worth it?
Who has the best?
Since I am pretty good at Photoshop I was thinking of printing my own walls and getting some foam backings and going to town.

Did you get the garage from Chris's models?? Excellent Job on the Chezoooom!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the props Ron! Paint is Duplicolor GM Dark Charcoal with 6 coats of Duplicolor clear, wetsanded with 2000 grit and polished out with Wizards One Step Polish. The bike in the back ground is a 1/24 Maisto die-cast 2001 Harley-Davidson Springer Soft-tail. The King has to get to the shop somehow! The garage is from Scale Modeling by Chris, yes. The props such as the toolbox, welder, charger, torches etc are all 1/25 scale stuff from various eBay sources. I have a bunch of signage and other things to add but just haven't gotten 'round to it yet.

That's pretty much how he does it I believe. Just a nicely printed graphic adhered to foam board.

what company made this model Testors made it. There are 2 versions. One is a slammer with no engine or interior called a "Quick Builder" and the other, which I used for my build, is called a "Full Detail". Don't bother unless you really like this car though. If I knew then what I know now, you wouldn't be seeing pictures of my finished Chezoom. Pretty lame kit IMO. I managed to make an acceptable build out of it though.
