This here is the AMT 1960 Ford Starliner Custom in 1/25 scale. I did the engine with the kits actual engine block, heads, valve covers. I used a 10-71 blower from an old MPC gasser Vette kit. I used the Enderle fuel injection hat and blower belt/pullies from an old Funny Car kit (Unknown). I actually painted the car the correct 3 step for the candy apple red. I started with Testors grey primer, I then wet sanded and rubbed that out. I then applied Testors gold metallic. A few days later I applied Boyds transparent candy apple red for 2 coats. I too wet sanded and rubbed that out as well. Heres a peek at the paint and the interiors details. I scratch built the front straight axel and leaf spring set-up from the AMT 69 Charger (Nice and High). The interior is pretty much stock except for the roll cage I stole from a Monogram 66 Malibu kits, fire extinguisher came from an old Jo-Han Funnycar kit. It still needs alot of touch up's and one more coat of the metallic red for the seats. Im going for the "Schwinn Bicycle Seat" look. LOL! The decals came from a monogram Pro Street Thunderbird kit. Heres the wheels. There American Racing Torq Thrust with black spokes and the slicks came from an old Revell 56' Ford Pickup. Heres some more misc. shots in various stages, it's about 80% complete.
