Here's that pearl purple '63 Ford SportsRoof that brought Roberts back to Ford where he started his racing career. This is my Darlington photo set that is more like the late fifties in that I haven't put the roof on the grandstand that it should have for '63. I guess I could just say it is Atlanta and squeak by until I get some tin and poles, huh?  |

I would love to see some of those. I never got to meet him but did become friends with Doris and get to spend some time with her at several shows and we even went out to dinner along with Bunny (Mrs. Curtis) Turner and Wanda (Mrs. Tiny) Lund. Very special ladies all.

GREAT story. These were old Kodaks of him hooking the car up to a trailer and working on it too if I remember correctly. Ill have to dig them up and scan them.
