This is my version of Chezoooooom. I put the body on a Pro Street Road Runner chassis with a blown hemi. The color is chrome yellow out of a can (my only successful spray bomb job) with bare metal foil on the trim. Wheels and tires are from a funny car kit.

Here's my Chezoom I am currently wrapping up. I should have it done by this weekend. Kind of a simple kit so I jazzed it up a bit. The wheels are from a JADA diecast 51 Merc, rotors are Pegasus, speakers in back are from another JADA diecast, console is from AMT's 59 El Camino kit, modified to fit, PE dash bezels, PE radio, flocked carpet and package tray and some other goodies that will be seen on the finished car. This is an early Mock-up Shot of the wheel/rotor detail Pics of the finished interior

OMG Goodness!!! I am never posting another pic of my models again!!! LOL!! That is awesome!!!!!!!! Thanks for the compliment!! I should probably add that this kit is fun AND frustrating at the same time. It says "Full Detail" on the box (I know, as opposed to their slammer version) but that statement is stretching things a bit. Simple kit, somewhat unrealistic, especially the suspension/undercarriage/engine compartment, and has some fit issues. The dash was two pieces so I glued them together and filled the seam as it was right on the front of it. Seats were two pieces as well and didn't fit together that great at all. Had to glue them together as well and use some filler and sanding/filing to get them to look like single units. The interior was totally bare. I just couldn't leave it alone! LOL. No back seat bottom, only the seat backs so I remedied that with some kickers. Much modifying was necessary to get those wheels & tires to work (not the fault of the kit, of course. The stock wheels just seemed too small to me). Paint is Duplicolor GM Dark Charcoal, with 6 coats of Duplicolor clear, wetsanded with 2000 grit and hand rubbed to the mirror-like finish you see. Hopefully, I'll get her done this weekend and post finished pics next week.

That baby is sweet. The paint is amazing too! What do use/prefer for plastic filler? Thanks again! I use Evercoat catalyzed putty. I have an auto-body shop and have been doing autobody for 30 plus years, so a lot of my techniques and products come from the 1:1 world. Evercoat is the whip, though... dries within 15 minutes and is sandable just shortly after that. And man, does it sand easy. I use it in my shop as well as on my models. Another cool thing about it is it bonds straight to plastic as well as it does to primer. Any good auto paint store should carry it.

That's the deal. Im looking for it today. Thanks Ron. My pleasure, boss. If you need tips/instructions on how to use it, just ask. Catalyzed putty is an entirely different animal than regular lacquer-based putties like Squadron. I've been using the stuff since 1982 so I just might know a little bit about it. ;D
