Well if the engine was from a 30's street rod the only one I can think of is the AMT '33 Willys. That kit is based on Ohio George Montgomery's AA/Gas '33 Willys race car and the engine should look like this. Same engine in his AA/Gas '67 Mustang a couple of years later. Here is a couple more pics if you want a more "stock" looking "Cammer". Ford never sold this engine complete. If you had the right connections you could to order a engine kit with the SOHC parts from the Ford dealer and mount it on a regular 427 engine. The "Cammer" was developed for NASCAR racing but NASCAR didn't allow it, so the engines ended up in drag racing instead. Ufortunately many of them was blown to bits there and now it's a shortage on one head, I don't remember if it was the right or left. I don't exactly know where these pics come from and who took them, I found them on Internet and saved them for my own references. If the copyright owners for them wants to, I'll take them out. Thank you very much for them pictures , just what I needed! I`ll be running dual carbs though , no blower . I should (I hope) have all the parts to make it work. I went though my engin pars last night and found a bunch of valve covers , 3 timing chain covers , and 2 dual carb intakes . Is there anything that mounts to the front of the engin besides the alt., coil , fan , water pump , and belts ?

I think you have covered everything at the front of the Cammer, I can't think of anything else. I think there is a dual carb set up for the Cammer in the AMT '66 Galaxie and maybe in the AMT '68 Shelby GT 500, both these kits contains the SOHC engine option. Forcefan

GREAT PICS Forcefan. I LOVE Ohio George Montgomery! He ran the SOHC numerous times tjrought his amazing career. He also ran a very little known 72 Mach 1 Top Fuel Funnycar with this engine too! quote] COOL!!! ;D "Ohio" is kind of a favourite for me too but I have never seen that particular car. Thanks for the pics, I have saved them in my Ohio George Montgomery file. I just love those old Hilborn "Shot Gun" injector hats!!! I have plans to build Ohio's '33 Willys and his Malco Gasser '67 Mustang, I have a couple of AMT '33 Willys kits and a couple of MPC '67 Mustangs (the Flip Out Mustang and the recent Buyers Choise version) and decals from Fred Cady. He also ran a Maverick, I think it was called "Multi-Maverick" or something like that, I haven't found any good pics of that car and I don't have the model kit either but I think it was available from MPC at the time. I remember I saw something in an early 70's Hot Rod Magazine about Ohio's cars and the Maverick was pictured there. I've had that magazine but I can't find it now, the magazine must have been from around 1971-72-73 or something like that.

It's hard to tell with these small pics but both seems to work. The intake manifold for the Cammer was aluminum and I think most heads was also so you might paint in an aluminum tone.

Hey ONEBADMK8.....I just noticed something on the Ohio George Montgomery Funny Car pics, it says BB/FC on the side after the number so he must have ran this car in the Top Alcohol class.....or Pro Comp or whatever they called that class in those days. If he had ran it in the nitro funny car class it would have said AA/FC on the side instead.

Yes true. He ran both classes. The car was retired as a BB/FC. He match raced on Nitro with this car too.
