Thanks ONEBADMK8. Yeah the PE hoodpins looks great but they has a story, when I was mounting them I lost about half a Detail Master set just to get four pins on. When I tried to hold them in the tweezer to tie the wires to them they flew all over the place and was lost to the mysterious beast under the work bench, I never found them again. But I've got a better tweezer since then so on the next project with hoodpins it might work better. Forcefan

Thanks guys!!
Yes there are holes in the engine block just above the oil pan for the steel front axle in this kit. I didn't use that axle on my model, I plugged the axle holes in the block and cut a couple of short pieses of a plastic rod to mount the wheels on to the front suspension. I glue the wheels on all my models so they don't roll around in the display cases I use to transport them in when I go to model shows.

You better bring ear protection for your date then jcpiscopo, There are no mufflers on this car so it might be a bit loud. ;D
This has been my favourite kit for a long long time and the model turned out quite nice, but as I said it's not really a correct replica of the S & M car. Since I got my computer 2 years ago I have saved everything I've found on internet on Sox & Martin, I have around 300 files in on my hard drive with photos of Sox & Martin's cars and other related stuff. So I have lots of references to build a more correct model now. I also have one more JoHan Sox & Martin 'Cuda in my stash and with the reference photos I have today I can build a better more accurate model of this car. I just don't know when but it's on my to do list. ;D
