Heres the latest on the Starliner Gasser. I swapped out the old wheels for a set of Halirand rear wheels and ribbed slicks from the Tony Nancy Dragster. The front wheels are from the AMT 68' Camaro Kit. Heres the first set of wheels and the lower rear suspension. Before: Hers the after shot. I also added a custom made Parachute bracket along with a labeled Simpson Chute and cord. I used BMF on the chute and weathered it with some testors flat lack and thinner to simulate clutch dust for that "Used" look. I also added chrome headlight covers in the low beams and I painted the high beam sockets flat lack. I also added some KILLER "Moon" style collector sidepipes that are super tucked "Frame Huggers". I am really pleased with this car now that it is almost done.

Great idea on that chute. I've always painted them flat black or white , as you can see on my Troublemaker that I posted in the Flashback forum. I really like the look of the BMF with wash. Have to try that next time.I don't know that much about gassers/drag cars so I'm learning a lot here.

It's from the Starliner kit. I added the 10-71 Littlefield and Enderle Hat.

What you see is a stock bodied new tool of AMT's 1960 Starliner.
I scratch built a leaf springs up front from a Dukes Of Hazzard Charger rear. I made the axel from a chrome tree. Shocks are from an old JoHann Olds model. The Hat and blower are unknown, the manifold is from another big block Ford also unknown. I combined a few roll cages to make a suitable one for this car. Fire extinguisher is unknown. The rear wheels and tires are from the Tony Nancy kit, the fronts are from Monogram Cop Out Duster Funnycar.
The chute is from th Tony Nancy dragster and I added the "Simpson" sticker from an old decal set. The chute was covered with BMF and then "dirtied" to display clutch dust. The chute tether is from a craft store. Thats about it I think.
