How do you get you`r steel pads to rust out ? I put two in a cup full of salt water and after 2 days nothing

I'll put an inch of water in a glass, then i stuff it with 0000 grade steel wool, let sit for a week (add water if it dries fast) then presto, about 3 tablespoons of rust.

As you can see I still need to work on it a little... but it looks alot better than paint .

Looking good. You have to cover the shiny areas with a good coat of flat black, let partially dry then dry brush the rust on.
